DANA LOESCH and the N.R.A.

I am a dedicated NRA member long before DL came along. I don't know much about her but as a beautiful, long tall, drink of water, she's easy to fall in love with.
      Until you read her book, Hands off my Gun. Beautiful, yes, but a hard as nails, tough cookie, back country, chew you fingers off to the knuckle kinda-girl.
      From a life-time of marketing and sales promotion, it was a stroke of genius for the guys at head office to have her at spear point. Good job. For the consumer, men and women, disabuse yourself of the notion that she is the gentle, sweet socker mom with loving kiddies in the station wagon at the ball field.
     I doubt it. More tough as shoe leather, she knows her stuff, .22 to .45 caliber and beyond, and thanks to her tough raisin' back home in the hills, it has been a good background for her in the NRA, probably marriage and the kids. When she says, keep your hands ' OFF MY GUN!! "  I think it's good advice. I'd take it.

" CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?" Reginald Denny

Feminists: bad enough when Freidan got us rolling, split men and women up, looking at each other over barbed wire fences. Divorce rates up, kids confused, angry, husbands hanging out in psyche's offices, NOW, the femmes are so splintered, they're hollering at EACH OTHER. Wanna "tussle" with a feminist? I imagine you gotta pass a test first.
      Politics, we're split up worse than ever. At the half time, the score is: " THE LIONS THREE, THE CHRISTIANS ZERO." Who would have believed the Democrats would be so vicious about Hillary Clinton losing??
      Gunfights.....the crowds go nuts. Gunplay in America is outta site, the crowds go wild. Nowhere do I see as the NRA says, " the good guy with a gun" steps forward and saves the day. Have you? There are plenty of chances, too, but where are they?.Arguments for gun control all say the same thing: COMMON SENSE GUN CONTROL. Next time you read that, ask yourself this question: WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN?
     There are enough guns in our country for everyone to have at least ONE. About 1/3 of the states now allow most people to carry them hidden without a license or a permit. Every one of our Continental Founding Fathers basically said we would be nuts to every give up our fire-arms. We'd be crazy to do it, and should fight the impulse.
     So, where are our heros? Some states, some school districts even allow teachers to arrive at school packing handguns One assumes they do so discreetly.
     The public insanity loosed since the election continues to baffle me, as it should you. A school principal declares " what do we tell our children!!" (good God, lady, GET A GRIP)  The public persona making all sorts of acclimation of Senator Bernie Sanders an avowed Socialist, when Venezuela is crumbling as we speak under the yoke of that very same governance. NO ONE IN OUR COUNTRY HAS EDUCATED OUR CITIZENS AS TO SOCIALISM AND WHAT IT WROUGHTS. In Venezuela, there are food riots, bank failures, police riots, shootings, civil disturbances as art form, death and destruction.  And, our children laud Bernie as something different in the American political system, something WE SHOLD REALLY TRY.

There were over 40 attempts on the life of Hitler, 40 that we know of, all failed. Adolph drafted or hired over 50,000 bodyguards called the S.S. to watch over him. Still, the attempts continued. He got too paranoid, he began executing his own people.
     He surrounded himself with Yes-Men. They couldn't agree with him fast enough.
     When our president got the top chair, he immediately began a program of firing top Generals in the military and replacing them with weaker, more pliable military men and WOMEN who would bend more closely to his will. It's gotten so embarrassingly now that firing the head of the Pentagon, Dempsey, would probably set off impeachment proceedings. Dempsey has been so blatant in his opinions diametrically opposed to the president, he has stated so publicly, but always with, I'll advise the president, then do as he wishes.
     The war time generals are gone. As in the Third Reich, they too were gone, so many killed off, run off or hung on meat hooks, or executed as Rommel had been.
     Hitler as in our president, totally disregarded the advise of his top generals, over-riding them at almost every turn. Hitler placed his country in jeopardy of defeat as a result. President Obama has consistently ignored the safety of our country, in my opinion, on so many fronts, in so many ways as to belabor the topic here, as to ever edge us towards catastrophe. Some here fear similar disaster.
    There are distinct differences in this country than almost all the rest in Europe. American character and America has - firearms.
    Adolph had a bug about disarming his fellow Germans. Funny thing about a country with no guns. They can't fight back. Now, ever since Obama got into 1600, he's been trying to dismantle the 2nd Amendment - our right to hold on to firearms. He's tried everything. A chip here, a dent there, not much progress thanks to Federal Courts, the Supremes, the National Rifle Association and five million or so Americans who are members.
    No Barack, we will NOT go quietly into that good night. We will never surrender. Never. We have history on our side. We may be a dumber country than we were 70 years ago, but we're not washed up yet.
    Not yet.

Guns--Creeping Gun Confiscation --- An unarmed public ---Abe Lincoln

When I was a young passionate hot-head (about  nearly everything) I belonged to various clubs, associations and organizations in my 20's through my late 30's. Marriage, two kids, a school board appointment, feeding, housing, clothing the family and fighting my way through two bastard economic downturns diverted the passions to more practical considerations.
     However, my membership in the NRA was useful in that I read back in the 70s about their various concerns about government confiscation of guns. Gun registration, they said would come first, mandatory registration, knocking on doors, demanding to see paperwork, maybe even police confiscating firearms from the home some day.
     This was the 'fever' back in the mid 70's. Ok, I thought, I wasn't excited about it, but I listened.
     The Constitution is a valuable thing. Tear it down and there is nothing that protects us. Nothing. In 45 years I have gone from a mildly interested bystander ( I owned a gun when my attorney said,
" I would join the NRA if I were you, guns are under attack legally - all the time.") and this from a five foot, wall-eyed homosexual Philadelphia lawyer in the mid 70's.
     So, I did. Not so much as a "gun nut" but, I had a minor in law from Wharton, so thought I'd
" take it out for a walk" so to speak.
     Now, today, the constitutional amendment is so under attack, branches of our government seek to undermine, by any means necessary  Amendment 2.
     No? you say? The administration has banned the importation of cheaper ammunition into this country that target shooters have been using for decades.
     Politically friendly northeastern states have hiked taxes on gun manufacturers who founded their businesses in those states during the American Revolution, so high, they have been forced to move to the south lands where they have been greeted warmly by job-hungry and low tax environments.
     Bills in left wing states like California and New York that crush individual rights on gun ownership continue to be introduced and/or passed have yet to reduce gun crimes because DC politicians have yet to grasp that thrill killers, bank robbers and convenience store stick up men don't follow laws - any laws. Gun bans in Chicago are laughable, the murder capital of the US where no guns are allowed, none, and the cops there admit to a dozen murders every weekend. The FBI KNOWS of 8 million handguns in the city where it is ILLEGAL to buy or sell them.
      Ask yourself two questions: in Chicago, how could your practically stop those punks from killing each other with guns? (remember, I said PRACTICAL) 2. In 2 years, Obama & Co is moving to Hollywood Hills to a mansion. He's moving, leaving, gone. If the President can't fix it?
In Connecticut a certain kind of rifle was purchased by a whole bunch of people and they had to register it with the police. Then, later, it was declared illegl, they had to turn it in. They didn't. Last I heard ( no the media didn't cover the story - surprised?) the cops said they were going into that neighborhood to knock on every door and collect the guns.  Now the cops had the lists. Police went to the homes and took the guns away, door to door. Harken back 40 years to the NRA's worst fear: REGISTRATION LEADS TO GUN CONFISCATION.
      My question to the reader -- why does the government want your guns?? 99.9% of all gun owning Americans didn't shoot anybody last night.
      Abe Lincoln said it best, " If America falls, it will be because of the enemy within."
